Hey there, it's been a while since i put anything on this blog! i've mostly been busy with life, and also trying to come up with an idea for a new YouTube video, which i've succesfully done! i've even almost finished writing the script for it too! Other than those two things, i've also been watching the latest Re:Zero and Dragon Ball Daima episodes (both in dub, of course), i'm especially happy that we're getting a season 4 for Re:Zero because that anime is amazing and you should watch it right now.
As for manga, i've been reading a few yuri mangas (i'm a guy in case you were wondering), a LOT of yaoi ero mangas (i'm not gay, i swear, not that there's anything wrong with it of course!), a bunch of psychological manga, and i've also started reading Higurashi again (currently at "Matsuribayashi-hen" - or the "Festival Accompanying Arc" in English). I would play the VN, but then i discovered that the series also has manga, so i went ahead and started reading that instead. I usually read these on my phone using an app called Kotatsu, which is a really good manga and Manhwua reading app for android (and ero manga too!). Before Kotatsu i used an app called Tachiyomi, which unfortunately had to cease development around mid-late 2024 due to legal threats from Kakao Entertainment. I might actually make a YouTube video talking about the world anime & manga piracy at some point. Anyways enough yapping, even more site updates time (there's not much):
- Shiny new landing page, go check it out!
- Experimented with the idea of a "site updates" section on the left side of a page, reverted these for now, but might play with the idea in the future
- New splash texts (last 10 lines)
- Few minor html changes in some pages
There's some things that i still need to do, like create seperate css rules for the navigation bar at the top so that i can use lists (they just use the ul and li html tags as of now), seperate box for site updates, shit like that. I'll implement those in due time, I'm gonna get me some takeaway now, make sure to check The archive regularly for more news and updates for me. Peace.
Just like the title says, i have updated my website further. Well, it's just one thing i added which was showing a list of videos on my YouTube channel that i've uploaded on my home page, including a working view count + upload date. This was so much of a hassle to implement. At first, i was just gonna generate an RSS feed using this, but it turns out you have to pay, and i'm not spending my money just to Ctrl+C Ctrl V a single html line onto my site, then i tried to just use YouTube's built-in RSS feed format which just didn't fucking work, then i finally found a solution which was right in front of me all this time, solution being Google Cloud Console.
I'm not gonna get into the technical mumbo jumbo, but let's just say that Google gave me a key which allows me to grab public information about videos of any channel (likes, views, upload date, etc). Honestly, it's not perfect, but it works. That's the site updated (for now), now i just gotta sort out my Twitch channel, take some pictures to use as reaction stills, and continue setting up my Discord server. Oh wow, it's been a whole 25 days since my last update!
As you can see the site has had some small changes - my blog is now it's own page, and the home page now shows all the videos i've uploaded to my channel. There's those two things plus some minor and insignificant tweaks, but nevermind all that, guess what...

2024 was actually a decent year for me if i'm being honest. For starters, i hit 200 subs on YouTube, then i managed to hit 1k followers on tiktok (and the pinned videos on my profile surpassed 100k views, one of them having 6m views and counting). However, that was the past. You know what they say, "New Year, New Me". Expect more videos to be uploaded this year, and speaking of videos...
I recently finished watching Dandadan (you need to watch it, probably one of the best anime of Winter 2024) and i'm almost caught up with Re:Zero which i started watching December of this year (I just started watching Season 3). I wanna make an "in-a-nutshell" type of videos regarding one of those two anime since they're still fresh on my mind, but if they have more than one season (which the latter of the two does have), i'll probably make the videos in parts (e.g., Season 1 = Part 1).
Anyways i gotta make this post quick, so -

What's up? so i've basically finished editing the video (in record time, mind you), so now i'm just doing some post-edit magic, making sure everything is the way i want it to be. After i've done that, i need to make it's thumbnail, then it's ready to be uploaded on YouTube. Hey, speaking of YouTube, why aren't you subscribed yet?
In other news, after like 13 years, i FINALLY managed to 100% Sonic Rush on the Nintendo DSi! (i know, a momentous achievement in history), i already 100%'ed Sonic Colours DS a few years ago, and i absolutely will NOT be doing the same for Sonic Rush Adventure, at least not now. They don't call me Sonic Eclipse for nothing, after all.

Hey there, i just wanted to give you guys an update on my upcoming video. I'm about half way though (the video will most likely be about 12 - 13 mins long, i'm about 7 mins through editing). I'm gonna try get it done by the end of this month, but because i like to do things at my own pace, It MIGHT be done by the first, maybe even second week of December, don't quote me on that though. Also, i hit 200 subscribers on YouTube!🥳 Honestly i didn't think i'd make it that far, but here we are! Unfortunately, i don't really have anything planned for this milestone (at least, not right now), but you never know.
In other news: lately i've been obsessed with re-playing some games that defined my childhood, i just completed Sonic's story in Sonic Rush (Hideki Naganuma is a sampling god), a few months ago i also decided to 100% Sonic Generations on steam (i have like 42/49 achievements), then i proceeded to give that up to buy Sonic x Shadow Generations for PS5 and be obsessed with that, i finished Shadow Generations in 5 hours (if you couldn't tell, i'm a Sonic fan). Oh hey, it's been exactly seven days since my last post! anyways, i just wanted to give an update about my upcoming video.
I finally finished writing the script, i was planning to start editing the video tommorow, but i'm going out to a new-orleans style restaurant + a dessert spot with some friends (to celebrate a friend's birthday) tommorow, so i'll probably start editing either thursday (Nov 14th) or Friday (Nov 15th), IF i don't procrastinate of course (which i most likely will end up doing, let's be real).
Also two things: (1)the title you see on the header for this post may not be the final title of the video, and (2)at some point, probably next year, i need to either re-do some of the thumbnails for my videos or completely remake them from scratch. Anyways, site update time:
- Added some new splash texts
- Made it so that whenever the splash text changes, it no longer moves away from the header because of how long it is, it now stays in it's original position
- Made the font size of the splash text smaller (old: 24px | new: 20px)
- Made it so that the navigation bar scrolls with the page, it no longer stays at the top when scrolling down

Ok, i don't wanna spoil too much, and i've already announced this on my YouTube community tab, but i've got a video coming up hopefully by the end of this month, since won't be home for basically all of December, where i briefly talk about my popular videos on their channel (and their analytics), talk about some plans i have for videos in the coming year, a few announcements (well, one of them was already announced in the last blog post which you'll see if you hover your mouse/thumb over this box and scroll down), and finally i'll be talking about some things that i'll be doing if i reach a certain number of subscribers on YouTube (which may or may not involve giveaways), so if you haven't already, head over to my youtube channel, click subscribe, and set the bell icon to "All" so you can receive push notifications as soon as i upload a new video.

One day later and i've already updated the site (and added some small features), but here's the fun stuff:
- Updated the splash text to animate like in Minecraft, also made it so that if a specific day and month comes by, the text gets replaced with something relating to said day and month. I decided to not make it animate on mobile, it will still show underneath the "Eclipse-Archive" header.
- Made the 404 page look a tad bit nicer, and also removed a line of html code that would fetch a short (4sec) sound file that i saved on my catbox.moe account, and play it. Turns out it's owner doesn't allow hot-linking, oops...
- Made it so hyperlinks will glow when hovered over with your mouse (or held with your finger, on touch screen devices). Pretty cool stuff, i suppose- Accidently clogged up my pipes which increased the water pressure, now this page is slowly (but surely) flooding.

I also wanted to add my twitter timeline to the left of this page so you guys could see my tweets without having to go to the cesspool that is twitter.com, but for some reason when i embed my profile it just says "nothing to see here yet", and embedding it with iframe doesn't work because it just shows "x.com refused to connect" or some shit like that, although that could just be in my end.
